Coos Novel Creators

Other goals include learning about publishing, marketing, book reviews, self-publishing vs. traditional, workshop classes, and anything else that relates to writing and publishing a book.

  • With KDP, authors can publish their books in both digital (e-book) and print formats. This means you can offer your book on Kindle devices and Kindle apps, or consider publishing in the physical paperback format. Amazon handles the printing, distribution, and sales of your physical books, while you retain the rights to your content.
  • Fiverr - Freelance Services Marketplace

To use Fiverr, businesses create an account and browse the site for freelancers who offer the services they need.

Once they find a freelancer they like, they can buy or request a specific gig. The freelancer then has to complete the work and deliver it to the business before the time they promised.

Story Telling
Image 4
  • Character Development – Are the characters believable? Do they change as the story progresses? Do their decisions drive the story forward, or are they only reacting to things?
  • Plot Development – Did you see any twists coming? Did the plot build on itself nicely, or is it just a collection of random happenings?
  • Clear Action – Are the actions clear? Even a character walking is action. Is it over- or under-explained?
  • Dialogue – Do the characters have distinct ways of speaking? Is the dialogue flowing and believable?
  • Pacing – Does the story pull you along and keep you turning the pages? Does it ebb and flow, balancing between action and build-up nicely? Or is there too much of one or the other?

Does the beginning set up the bigger “conflict” of the entire novel, the issue that drives your protagonist toward his/her end goal? Does the beginning set up the bigger “conflict” of the entire novel, the issue that drives your protagonist toward his/her end goal? Does the overall plot come across clearly in the novel? Is the setting, locale, time of year, date, etc., clearly developed?
